Senior leaders from Europe and the Gulf met in Greece for three days of private discussions on geopolitics, economic resilience, energy, supply chains, defence, technology and investment, setting out next steps for continued cooperation

The first Europe-Gulf Forum scheduled for May is expected to include Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, it was reported on Thursday.

Heads of state and government, senior policymakers and business leaders will gather from May 15 to May 17 for the first-ever Europe-Gulf Forum. Playbook can exclusively reveal some of the big names: Italian PM Giorgia Meloni, Qatari PM Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi.

This landmark Forum is being launched at a rare moment of unprecedented geopolitical cooperation and peace agreements in the Middle East, with political leaders coming together to envision a shared future of stability and opportunity.
